About the position
Regional accountant is responsible for general accounting functions, including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures, as well as learning and developing systems and process that will ensure accuracy and effectively. A successful Regional accountant combines excellent analytical skills thinking with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. Regional accountant works side by side with management to support all aspects of financial ventures, as well customer experience.
Verify accuracy of transactions by reviewing financial statements and preparing adjusting journal entries for each partnership to ensure financial statement integrity.
Analyze and reconcile the activity in various balance sheet accounts such as cash, prepaid expenses, accrued receivables/payables, other assets/liabilities and prepare adjusting journal entries and schedules as needed.
Maintain various financial transactions in the commercial banking software and post corresponding journal entries into accounting software which includes community cash receipts, community loan payments, 3rd party loan payments, wires and daily account transfers.
Work with management on complying, analyzing, and recording transactions pretraining to acquisitions and dispositions, recapitalizations, refinancing
Responsible for daily cash management and reporting of daily cash position of partnership accounts.
Prepare and manage cash flow forecasting models and assist in analyzing short and long-term partnership cash needs.
Assist in implement new processes and procedures
Prepare financial statements and produce budget per schedule
Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts and close out those accounts once the related projects have been
Assist with audits internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Prepare and analyze month-end and year-end financial reports and closing process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting with ideally 2-3 years accounting experience.
Proactive problem-solving ability and strong follow-up skills necessary.
Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
Proficient in Excel, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
Team oriented with an exceptionally strong work ethic and outstanding interpersonal skills
Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, problem solving abilities, and attention to detail
Poised and polished professional with excellent oral and written communication skills
